Thomas Nicolson navigation and logbooks, 1766-1813.

Navigation books (1766) and log-books (1769-1784) of Thomas Nicolson of trading voyages from Plymouth, Mass. and other locations to various ports, among them several islands of the West Indies, on the brigs William and Neptune and schooners Killing Mind and Kingston. Also included are a record of sales of the brig William's cargo sold at Surinam and other business and personal accounts (1773-74) of T. Nicolson, and a navigation book and log of Samuel Nicolson of voyages made in 1813. The logs detail the navigational coordinates and weather during his voyages and provide occasional narrative accounts.
